Recently I've been thinking about how games affect our mental state. I had such a case: during a difficult period, when work and personal life seemed to be chaos, I started playing one relaxing farm game. It was simply a salvation. It seemed to be simple gameplay, but it helped to distract from stress and get back to a normal mood. I think it's true that games can be good for the psyche if used correctly. But how do you figure out which games will really help and not the other way around? Maybe someone has encountered something like this?

Interesting topic, even made me want to think about it. I myself have never really thought about gaming from a psychological point of view, but now I realize that for many people it can really be a kind of personal outlet. The main thing, perhaps, is not to get carried away, so that instead of benefits you don't get new problems. It's great that there are such discussions, because now it is more relevant than ever.
Yeah, I know what you mean, I've been through it myself. I remember once playing a cooperative strategy game with friends to take my mind off the stress of work. You know, it really helped. Games are not only relaxing, but they give you a chance to be in another reality where you can control the situation. It's also like a kind of therapy. By the way, I saw an interesting article on this topic. It discusses how to make gamming useful for mental health, what resources to use and how to balance it properly. Here's the link if you're interested: https://qrius.com/tools-and-resources-for-healthy-gaming/. It helped me to look at my gaming habits in a different way, maybe it will be useful for you too.
